Ah southbourne, I hope you ventured further afield and let the bike stretch its legs on some decent roads!
Like the B3081 biggrin

Had a nice ride along the edge of Salisbury Plain then home via a quick stop in Devizes, last night. Hardly any other traffic, perfect!

I'll have to try the B3081 it's a slight detour but as I'm A346 & A338 about 90 miles to the sea I'd need to pick up the A303 after Tidworth then onto the A350 ....
Anyway I'll refer you to a previous post regarding letting the bike stretch it's legs

My Abba Superbike stand turned up. Both ends off the floor at the same time. Job's a good 'un!

A bloke I know was racing in the pre TT classic yesterday on what was a lovely ow01
His day didn't end well

Main thing is he is fine, the bike can be repaired

Bike ended up 2m in front of us watching! He seemed ok, but we all commented, had he not got up so quick, he would have had a round of applause, he was too quick to get up so clapping would have seemed like we were clapping his crash!! That extinguisher dust gets fking everywhere, most of us were covered in it too!

They were all brave lads to be out there, particularly in the morning, it was grim!

Shortly before riding Devils Staircase in Wales (which we only found out after speaking to a local once we had got through it!!)
13 miles of insane twisties with a scary looking "Walking Dead-esque" campsite to ride through for good measure!
If you want a Baptism of fire as a newbie this is it! (I'm still on CBT, my wife passed her test a month ago and has owned her bike for 3 weeks)

Bought a very cheap CBR600 F3 locally this week, it's only done 28000 miles and 3000 of those were in the last 10 years.

I spent about 5 hours today just using stuff I already had in the garage. Started by jet washing it, then de-greasing with white spirit. I've repaired a couple cracks in the fairing, touched some paint up with paint sticks I had in the garage. One of the fairing infill panels is beyond repair, but I've found a replacement for £20. I then cut the paint back and polished it. The Micron can I attacked with wire wool. It's not a show winner but looks pretty respectable.

Mechanically it needs nothing, both tyres are brand new Bridgestones, and it had a huge service including chain and sprockets before being laid up. (The bill was more than I paid for the bike!) This is just a simple clean up cosmetic job, I'm not spending any unnecessary money. With the MOT I should be on the road for not a lot of money, I can then lay the Blade up over winter and use this.

Absolutely stunning. Nothing better than places like that, Don't see another soul for miles, no Mrs, kids or work chewing you're ear.

Love riding or just taking my dogs where you never see anyone, absolute bliss biggrin
