Tank looks like a Bantam and front mudguard looks like Honda Benlley or C77
clap Yes indeed, a BSA Bantam tank and a C90 mudguard.

I was amazed to see a converted SU carb conversion too. If you look closely at the bars ( crap pic sorry )
, you might be able to make out 2 SU float bowls housing additional LED lighting. Oh , and a trailer mount welded to a rigid rear end ...It's soooo bad it's crazy good .

Seriously fast old boy was Rob. I drew a grid slot alongside him once at Snetterton. He was on a P&M Kawasaki and me on a Pantah. I remember looking across and thinking this will be easy. Old bloke with an open face. I next saw him on the slow down lap. He just disappeared as soon as the lights went out.

Then next race he was out on his 500 Gold Star BSA.

Lovely family the Gourlays.

For some reason, I decided to tackle this ride on a bicycle - 3.5k metres climbed in 100km.

So today I took the motorbike for a little ride. After yesterday's trip I've decided I'm too tall for a naked bike, there were lots of normal sized blokes looking stupid on Kwak Z650s and every second biker in Switzerland has a 1200 GS but I still want a Multistrada.

Took the big Duc out today for the first time in quite a while, and was starkly reminded of the fantastic power/weight sportsbikes have over regular bikes. Losing 80kg compared to the GS, with almost twice the power, and it's like riding a giant elastic band that's just catapulted you to the horizon. Life affirming. Great to see some lovely bikes out today enjoying the perfect conditions.

Indeed, the design has aged really well - can hardly believe it's a decade old!

I've done over 13k miles on her. She's only ever been washed by detailing spray or Pledge in that time. She gets a quick wipe over before she goes out, and a proper clean before she gets put in the garage again.

Was only going out for a couple of hours, ended up going up to Creiff, along to Lochearnhead, stopped off for a bite at the Green Welly, headed for Oban, decided it looked a bit wet (had been caught in a few showers by now) so down towards Inverary, along to Dunoon, down to Largs and back to East Lothian. Mostly quiet roads too which was nice!
