R1 with a single sided s/a?? Looks a bitsa, but even mongrels are loved
Tell us more Seb
It's a Metmachex 916 swing arm specifically built for the R1 (they do kits basically). The rationale of whoever put it together is unknown. The race seat for example.. Tell us more Seb
It's only done 15k (2001 bike) and as far as I know was done as a project rather than smashed to bits and rebuilt.
The bits I don't like are the rim tape, anodised wheel nut (that's now off the bike) and the daft exhaust. I appreciate a totally standard one with 15k on the clock would be worth a few quid but there we go

Haha! Ok ok. Is that the front of the pad - seriously?!What do I do about the glazing, sand it off and carry on? That seems a bit to me!
This was the brake fluid.

I didn't think it would be like that after doing it 7 trackdays ago.
I thought it might be the pads which were down to the 2mm replacement level.
Turns out a fluid flush made the world of difference

Cannot imagine what it must feel like to ride something as utterly brutal as that..moanthebairns said:
Flush it. I had similar looking brake fluid. I thought it was just the red grease from the rebuild but mckeann pointed out it was the heat.

Yep all flushed and new pads in. I cba lapping the pads so they are in the bin. I didn't think it would be like that after doing it 7 trackdays ago.
