Partly true Steve - do get wound up easily, but some odd bods on here - must do more work.

Might come on thurs now (was going to take a union of the Chim to get better one made to stop a leadk but do it next week now).

You on the bike?

Are those time with the two chicanes (can't remember what it is called the new one at the esses - or is there one at the start of the back straight?), or the old track with the one just before the Devils Elbow?

Difficult to compare but my Griff200 when built to a spec that mates is will run about 51's on the car track.

400bhp and 850kg (not the widest tyre in the world) - Suppose in the dry the Chim with 250bhp more but same power woul run in the low 53's.

Like someone said not the same track - but with the track pre 06 format with just the Chicane before the Devils Elbow. The bikes probably looseabout 7 sec's and those time are Full on race bikes.

An R6 won't get away from me on a long straight but a R1 defiantely would. Cars have 4 big fat footprint to get all that power to the road - makes a big difference.

So reading MCN last night. A full on R1 BSB bike gets round the old lay out (the one chicane) in lap record time of low 51's, and Hayden was doing low 53's in testing. Bearing in mind these are full on BSB bike - I recon a road bike woul be about 4 sec slower, so low 57's even with Haydon on it and then and R6 a few more slower again.

Not sure how much the chicane b4 devils elbow would add to the the lap compared to the car track, guessing 5 - 6 seconds. Which woul put a well riden road R1 down around the low 51's again and the R6 low 53's.

My TR4 can do high 53's, a Griff 200 racer low 51's and my road car somewhere in between.
(in the dry of course).
