HUSQVARNA - a nightmare?
Discussion
The japs sell more bikes for a reason!
They are better built, more reliable and have better back up.
I have had 3 Yam XTs (2x 250 and a 550) and currently have an old TT350 lutking in the garage.
I have contemplated a supermoto a few times and narrowed it down to the Honda FMX ond the Yam XT660.
Yamaha wins hands down for me![thumbup](/inc/images/thumbup.gif)

What you really need to do is to send me a PM and make me an offer I can't refuse for my Husaberg:

Having ridden a KTM 625 SMC back to back, the KTM is like a soggy old sofa in comparison, and almost as quiet. Whereas the Husaberg would make "your" Husky put it's earplugs in!
Bidding starts at £1700......

Supermotos are amazing fun. I've had a few, the best ones being my 2 Huskys, a NOX and a SMR630.
They won't be all things to all men, aren't as dependable as a Honda, say and most are pretty uncomfortable, but a well-ridden one will surprise the pilots of much more powerful bikes, mainly in the corners and on the brakes.
600cc sports bikes have come down in weight a lot, over the past decade, so the difference in kgs isn't what it was, but a light and very narrow supermoto can often be quicker, a to b than a 1000cc megabike.

I remember seeing a guy on a trackday on a Husky
I spoke to him about the bike - I seem to recall he had to drop the oil every 20 hrs of use.
Now that may have been tuned up, but I also remember him saying maintenance was extremely costly.
You don't see many on the road - maybe there is some truth in it
My memory aint what it used to be........I spoke to him about the bike - I seem to recall he had to drop the oil every 20 hrs of use.

It was a Huasberg I saw on the track, not a husky

It's basically a race machine with a numberplate, that's why they're so focussed.
I did a wet track day on mine at Lydden (ideal, short circuit) and ran rings round the sports bikes.
