Rocket 3-thoughts?
Discussion
Thread resurrection here! It's been 2 years, how are the owner's getting on with their Rocket 3's?
I'm not sure why but I've been quite obsessed with having this as my next bike despite previously having no cruiser bike inclination.I don't ride much (summer pleasure riding) so would like to make each of my rides a bit of an experience.... a good excuse to go out and ride.
Are you all managing well with the weight and the reliability so far?

Had one as a loaner from Jack Lilley while my Tiger was being serviced. It reminded me a lot of my old VMax. A bloody big lump of a bike that seemed much better once moving. This one had the Arrow silencers fitted and sounded like a Sherman tank. I remember blatting up the M25 with this thing roaring away and then realising I was only in 3rd gear. I was tempted to go and visit the Hindhead tunnel.

Hi
Just read the interesting and informative comments what a beast of a machine.
Would I be mad to buy one as my last bike I owned and ridden was a 750 Honda in 1985
You might be fine but it’s a lot of bike in every respect. I think you’d be wasting your money as you won’t get the best from it. Just read the interesting and informative comments what a beast of a machine.

6 months on a 200kg 100bhp range bike would do you a massive favour.

Thank you for your reply and your sensible advice.
However as electric is on its way I want a collection of big petrol motors
It's a bike you buy with your heart not your head. If you want it and can afford it, get it brought and share some photos when you pick it up. I would love one if I could have a multi bike garage. However as electric is on its way I want a collection of big petrol motors
