Arse. Dropped it.
Discussion
Well, my pristine 95 model 750SS is no longer pristine.
Dropped it whilst pushing it around on a petrol forecourt - caught out by the lack of steering lock, dodgy camber and a side-stand that didn't flip up, but got snagged on a drainage grille.
Damage is fairly localised, so hopefully a 'smart' repair can be done at not too much cost....
I'm gutted, especially as the Ducati appears to show the damage much more prominently than any Jap bike would.

It hasn't cracked the panel - just gouged out a bit near the indicator. The rest is just scrapes in the paint.
I'm looking into smart repairs - apparently there's a bloke in Nailsea that does them.
Let me know how you get on Steve, I have a tiny scrape on my Falco which needs looking at - haven't organised a plastic repair yet.I'm looking into smart repairs - apparently there's a bloke in Nailsea that does them.
could be done by any good smart repairer with a small airbrush, but colour match will be tricky.saying that i did a similar repair to a cagiva mito which was red (there is always a car colour which is close) and the apprentice at the garage i did it at was well chuffed.i charged him £50 i think but it was about seven years ago.you may want to do a search for bike medic in the u.k.they specialise in motorcycle smart repair but remember its a franchise, and the quality of work will only be as good as the guy doing it.

Thanks for the pointers.I've dropped them an email - I'd have thought a solid red wouldn't be *too* hard to match..... <crosses fingers>
Worst comes to the worst, I know a bloke with a bodyshop up North who has done some excellent work on friend's bikes - but it's a PITA to get the panel to him undamaged.
I know a bloke who used these guys http://www.motorbikepaint.co.uk/ and got an exact match for his Yamaha.
