Right then, I'm now using the bike to commute to work and could really do with a set of lightweight waterproofs I can stuff in a draw at work or in my bag just in case I get caught out by the weather (on Thursday the forecast was a few light showers in the evening so I wore summer gear of leather jacket and denim jeans, only it started raining hard at 4pm and didn't stop until gone midnight so I got a tad wet). Does anyone have any experience of something like this? I've had a quick look round and have found these which seem to be what I'm after but I'd prefer a recommendation from someone who is more used to commuting in all weathers.

edit - forgot to mention that I do have a set of proper waterproof textile jacket and trousers, but I'm after something I can wear over the top of my summer gear.

being of average size, 5'10" & about 14stone i took the easy way for cheap waterproofs to go on top of leathers. i just got cheap waterproofs in XXL, i think they were from Lidls so nothing fancy.
all i had to so was sew an extra bit of velcro so i could do the neck a bit tighter.

It's well worth getting a size or two larger than you think you are going to need, even if you are getting a motorcycle specific oversuit. It makes getting it on and off a whole lot easier.
