Triumph Street triple....
Discussion
Opinions from those that've owned or run them, and perhaps some general 'go on get one' type comments welcome ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Struck me recently what a cracking new purchase these are in terms of value for money and all that. Plus they're a bit different, look pretty sexy and I quite like 'em.
What are they like to own? Two mates have 675's and haven't had much in the way of bother aside of trivial stuff when it was new, so I'm expecting they're pretty reliable?
Also curious as to what they're like for bigger riders, I'm 6'3 and not the most slender of chaps, so I'm expecting the wind will want to tear my head off at anything over 80mph? Anything else I should know about them?
Not looking to replace the R1, but I think they'll make nice stablemates![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I had a go on a mate's the other weekend to see what it was like.
It felt tiny, light, flickable and with fast steering and it has good looks. However . . . for me it was too soft, not loud enough (cans would cure this I'm sure), too slow and with a vague front end with insufficient feel. I then got back onto my Superduke and started grinning again!
I do think the Triple is a lovely bike though and would make a good all-rounder I suspect; just not for me. I'm not even that keen on its bigger brother!

if your going for 1 get the "R" model out soon. plenty of good upgrades for only £500 more. and from the reviews well worth it.
I can't comment on the street but apart from less weight its very similer to my SPeed Triple. I'm 6ft 2" and not small and find it comfy, a great bike and just love it. not problems in the 2600 i have done in the last 7 months,
go for it, test ride and I bet you'll like it

Im thinking of trying one too, but as my only bike. Its that, a Pegaso Strada or a KTM 690SM at the moment. All very different bikes at different price points.
The only concern is that the Street looks physically very small, and with a lack of space for luggage. I would buy the screens for it but not sure if that does much good for distance.

Cheers chaps, all very promising so far.
Just caught an article about the R in MCN, looks like a lot more bike for not a lot more cash.![scratchchin](/inc/images/scratchchin.gif)
Before I go for a saunter up to the dealers on the weekend, does anyone know what the waiting lists are like (if indeed there is one?), as I had heard rumours of 3 months.
