is there much difference in the handling between the RVF400 and 750?

i know the 400(NC35) handles like a dream but dont know much about the 750 (RC45?)

I know obviasly that the 750 will be quicker and a bit heavier, but hows it compair in the twistys to the 400?

I doubt anyone considering an RC45 will really care whether an NC30 handles well or not.

An NC30/35 was always just a miniaturised RC30/45. Anything that couldn't be properly replicated on the NC30/35 or isn't 'quite right' will be found a little bit better on the RC30/45

The RC30 and it's children is a fundamentally better bike than the N30/35 but also carries a much larger price tag.

If you find yourself torn between a NC35 and an RC45 and can afford the RC45 you're a little bit mad, I would have thought.

I think what is meant (correct me if I'm wrong untruth) is that they are a completely different league. NC35 is a lovely little bike, but they are not comparible. If you are looking for alternatives to the RC45, then really late 90's Dukes, other 750's and the VTR1000SP-1 are the alternatives. NC35 is a different market and a large difference in price point so is not in anyway a viable substitute if you genuinely want and can budget for an RC45.

That is correct!

With an NC35 you will usually get home with your wallet and pants in tact
With an RC45 you will have no wallet and some very very brown pants.

I think the difference is the price. NC will cost £3000 for a good one and an RC about £15000+

Seen a few RVF 750's for sale in the classifieds for around £18k! My mates mrs picked up a nice RVF 400 for £2300 at the weekend - bit of a price difference laugh

I agree with others comments. Can't really compare the 2 in anything except looks IMHO. The NC35 is a superb handling 400 and the RC45 is a superb handling 750 (for it's year, modern supersports 750's would have the edge though).
As for image, no contest: the NC35 was relatively mass-produced for the Japanese market, the RC45 was low volume exotica.

Also I seem to have read somewhere that the earlier RC30 was somehow a "sweeter bike" than the later "45" ?

Anybody confirm ?
Beemer5 are you there? I seem to remember you rode an RC45 recently?? (& have probably tried a "30" too !!)

Hi, i owned a Honda RC30 myself and it was great. I have little experience with the RC45 and have not owned one.
The comparison is a bit like, 'a GSXR 750 or a GSXR400'.
