Bridgestone have just been appointed the sole supplier for tyres for 2009.

Why do i hate that there is a 1 tire rule when i like the equality it will bring?? Wierd.

problem is, as the eurosport boys pointed out yesterday, it wont bring equality.

point 1.

those who are factory riders will be able to tailor there chassis development to gain the best of the tyres, sattelite riders wont be able to do this.

point 2.

those who are not on bridgestones this yera are going to be at a huge disadvantage all season, hence pedrobots cynical but clever mid season move.

point 3.

each manufacturer wil only have 150 tyres per test, hence honda, with 6 riders, will be at a huge disadvantage.

No changes in Motogp will ever see Honda disadvantaged

6 bikes, 150 tyres, divide that between 4 rears and 2 fronts.........

besides, you have too high an opinion of honda's influence.

I think the biggest point from a spectator POV is that quali now becomes a bit of a waste of time.

Oh, wait,this isnt F1 is it ?

There will be NO QUALI tyres in the allocation.

Thats the bad point.

It will show up the true "racers" vs the pole set up merchants.

Personally, I think its a crying shame, but to some extent, with corner speeds ever increasing they needed to do something to prevent the grid becoming full of crocs like it did in bad old 2 stroke days.

Yeah, at the rate they were going, they may have caught up with the 250s in terms of corner speed. Lucky escape.

I've said plenty previously on this so I'll just say this . . .

There will be more moaning about tyres next year than there has been this year.

so true , its a disgrace for the pinacle of bike racing top be so restricted.

The first step to F1 type control , couldnt believe it when i heard they are inviting ideas for a single engine supplier for F1 in the future
