Well, now a date's been set as 1st Feb 2014 we can start to plan the 2014 BNaB.

For those that didn't see it last year, it's BB's version of the BTaP thing the car lot do. We decided we didn't really fancy meeting up at their mega-expensive do to compare watches, so we set to organising our own. And so, Black Nails and Burgers was born!

Here's 2013's thread but basically, we met in a pub, had some beers, moved to another pub, had some more beers, went to a burger place, had a burger, then went to a pub, and had some more beers. It'll be London based, somewhere quite central again, possibly the same pubs as last year if it suits.

It all worked suprisingly well. No fights, Liam managed to eat all his dinner so was allowed a pudding (but he couldn't afford one), Y2 barely got any food in his beard and much merriness was had by all.

It's very unnoficial, nearer the time though we'll just need numbers for food. Nothing is to be paid in advance, and you book your own hotel where applicable but like anything, it's best to get a date set so people know early.

Much thread bumping will be done between now and then, and arguments discussions about where to eat.

Yeah I reckon it's best left floating about in the general chat. I never look at the stickies at the top!

Jeez, better get another couple of burgers on the grill then hehe

Not got time to read that lot, what happened? Someone realise they couldn't have that net worth of company directors in one place at one time for national security reasons??

Will start organising this a bit soon. I reckon leave it as a sticky until nearer the time then have it moved to bob about in the general chat nearer the time.

Just read the first bit of that thread about BTaP - people saying it's a £500 minimum event!!! One woman said she spent £1000 on an outfit, hotel, etc.

Unreal!

I think it's made me ever more determined that BNaB should be/remain an economy event hehe

I'm still not staying in the Cromwell. That is far too much money to sleep off a hangover.
Yeah I'm gonna go more budget this year I think.

Where did you stay last time? Wasn't far as you had the Fleegle guided tour in our taxi on the way home hehe

More the merrier smile

It's a pretty informal affair, nearer the time we'll need to get numbers to get a table booked somewhere, but that's it smile

I'm still in. Will have to get an idea of numbers for food after christmas, and try and get the meal booked.

Reckon the same area as last year would be best smile

Where was it last year?
From last year's thread:

Right, Saturday night pubs!

3pm here The Porcupine, 48 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0BS

then

5pm here The Cambridge, 93 Charing Cross Rd, London, WC2H 0DP

Then from here to the food. Hope this doesn't sound too regimented, it's just it needs to have a bit of structure for those that want to pop in for a beer. I don't really want to be on my phone all night, and these ones should lead us nicely to the food!

After the food, we'll have a think about!
Worked pretty well last year, although I'm not sure whether we'd be better off staying in the Porcupine until food? We'd established a nice little area, and it was heaving in the Cambridge so we ended up a bit split up.

Thoughts people?

The food is yet to be booked for this year smile

About time we got this sorted, I reckon! I vote we meet and eat at the same places as last year. Be easier for us out of towners to find, and it worked pretty well I thought.

Also, I reckon we should get this unstickied so it bobs about in the general bit so it gets more attention.

People's thoughts?

Shall I get this plonked back into the main page to get it seen by a few more folk? Think many overlook the stickies. We can keep bumping it up?
