chaps, I know the 600 needs to be revved, but mine seems to need about 5K before waking up - is this normal?
Next point, in 2nd & 3rd gears there is occasionally a jolt at about 10,000rpm. Is this a fuelling fault, or possibly a gearbox problem?
Basically I have 6 weeks warrenty left - should I take it back and buy a brand new 636 (only cost me a grand more)... or what?!
cheers, Carl.

Well I wanted the handling of a 600, without the running costs of a 900 or 1000cc machine (tyres, chain).
To be fair, the xjr was nice to ride, but not exactly the sharpest handling machine - and I like corners to be crisp and exciting. Not wallowy and nervous.
I would have been happy with the cbr, had this apparent flat spot not been there. It's a fine machine otherwise.
Reckon I'd get bored with anything in about a year, so it makes little difference !
