Like many motorists I have used two wheeled transport. This has ranged from a Carlton racing bike up to a Douglas Dragonfly ( my grandfathers ! ). So I can see both points of view. However, I am growing increasingly concerned at the hostility between both groups that is rapidly becoming a part of everyday motoring. I've seen bikers smash driver's door mirrors and drivers and bikers get into roadside punch ups.
Many of the bikers seem to be learner drivers, presumably with little or no experience of driving a car. I'm sure that many car drivers have no two wheel experience either. I do wish, though, that bikers might recognise that high speed weaving between moving or stationary traffic leaves them virtually invisible to car drivers and therefore very vulnerable.

I wouldn't worry.

Those high speed weaving fkwit bikers will soon learn of their vulnerabilities when they come off worse after the inevitable collision with a car.

n.b. I still own my Carlton racing bike btw.
That's all very well, but any collision between a biker and a car, irrespective of who is to blame, will lead to negative consequences for both. I've built up maximum NCB and don't want that jeopardised because some tt on a motorbike bounces off my Aston into a concrete flyover support when trying to punch my door mirror.

Why has my post on a perfectly valid subject been hijacked by a lot of trolls ? Was this because I submitted it to the Biker section and responses about eggs and toast is all that can be expected from them ? I really had hoped for better.

As an adjunct to my original post, what's with the aggressive behaviour of bikers against drivers using their phones whilst at the wheel ? From my everyday observation of bikers on the road, their normal actions can be infinitely more dangerous to themselves and others than a driver using a mobile phone. Do they think that because use of a mobile phone is illegal, their nasty and aggressive threats are legitimised ?

It is interesting that I am thought to be "trolling ". I'm not very knowledgeable on these matters, but isn't trolling where a person submits a deliberately provocative post with a view to generating some replies possibly of a certain nature ? If so, who decides whether or not the original post submitted falls into the trolling category ? Isn't that what moderators are for ? If not, and anyone can make a decision, then it surely takes just one person to believe that a trolling post has been submitted, they then hijack the thread and the original post is overwhelmed ?
That doesn't seem very much like free speech to me, but rather like the Antifa protestors who shout over anyone else's point of view.
