Best £3k Bike?
Discussion
Having passed my DAS, with only 10 hours training and 2 minors I might add , I'm now on the look out for a bike.
Thinking something like a 2000 - 2003 GSX600R as I've always liked them and hear they're highly rated. Not adverse to R6's either...
Not really a Honda or Kwak fan but I am open minded.
As a random choice a speed triple is also a bike I really like.
So taking into account the price and my limited experience, whats the bike for me??
Cheers

just about any bike will be considerably more capable than you.
Totally agree. Was originally thinking of 600 Bandit, and spending about £2k. However looking at the costs of sportier stuff, slowly dropping with the weather, I thought why buy something only to replace it after 3 months of riding...End of the day it'll only go as quick as i pull my right hand back, I understand that the temptation will be there to go quickly. I imagine the 1st time I scare myself it'll put thing into perspective.
Will definately do some test rides. Waiting for a dry weekend might take a while though...
Couple of examples below of keenly priced stuff. I'm in no rush as I won't be a hardcore all weather rider lol... Thinking January is when prices will be at there lowest??
