Thank you both very much. I can see the housing under the seat but didn't know how to get to it (I'm not practicalsmile)

rofl As I said, I'm no mechanic but it's somehow satisfying to know that it wasn't simple!

Well, it's actually easy (even for me). Remove the two diamond panels held in with allen bolts, this reveals allen bolts through the seat which can then be removed and, yes you've got to be careful not to scratch the tank.

Half hour later she worked!
