I'll start the debate early then . .

Cameron Donald for a win this year.

He missed out last year through injury, no doubting his speed and he's had a debut win at Thruxton this weekend. . .. He's on form and is hungry this year . . .

I envy all of you going, never been, need to do it one, year, perhaps next . .
i like cameron donald too smile also be nice for guy martin to do well aswell

Sorry to hijack your thread . . . but noticed the Oxford panniers in the photo and was thinking of getting some soon. Any thoughts on size, quality, etc. to help me decide?

Much appreciated!
no problem at all...i only use them once a year for the TT but they are very well made and big enough (they expand out quiet alot) for clothes for me and the g/f for the TT week

oxford stuff has its own lifetime cover anyway should anything start to come apart but no issues so far

the zips and seems are very sturdy etc etc

I'll see your 25 days and raise you 24 days - thats because I set off on Friday 23rd but don't sail until the 24th. I'm also assuming that my counting is correct......

Very sad news from the weekend though with the death of Martin Finnegan at the Tandagree 100. Lap record of 127mph and a constant top 10 finisher since his debut in 2002. It's a sad sad loss.
i spoke to him a few times in the paddock in the past...he always gave time to speak to fans aways genuinely happy to have a chat

a very sad loss

my thoughts are with those left behind

The full list of restricted and prohibited areas has been published. Been trying to decipher a few of the places I've watched at to see if they're now off the list. Gagging for that 6am "arrival lap" with a nap at Murrays a week on Saturday, followed by hearty breakfast at the sea terminal.

we do the same as you...get off the ferry at 05:30 ish then a lap fully loaded up before a good breakfast and checking in to our accom smile

woohoo TT officially starts this week!!! woohoo

After watching the NW200 live on Satuday I watched the highlights of TT07 just to keep me going. During the Senior you can actually see me stood roadside from some onboard footage. Of course you can't actually recognise me, it's just a blurred figure, but I'm there, hungover, having a 130mph lap record celebratory cigar.

Can't wait to be sat at Ballabeg on Saturday waiting for the Classic's to start, then going on a hunt for a rookie practice session spot.

woohoo
i've read that alot of the viewing areas have now been closed...how does it look to you? are you there NOW???

I get there Saturday about 6am so will get in a quick lap and see what the restrictions look like.

I think a lot of whats been written on forums so far is over reaction to a slight increase in safety measures. I've been going now for 6 years and have always found a different spot to watch which includes parking the car somewhere - and none of those places are now restricted. It's going to be those "special places" where people are in line of fire which have been closed off, the kind of places I'd not consider watching from for my own safety.
yeah im waiting untill i get there and see it for myself too

TT talk ,Adrian Earnshaw and the TT development manager will be on manx radios Talking Heads this morning at 11am.

...might be worth a listen
