Just taken delivery of my first bike, a '97 Yam Thundercat (Silver & Yellow) woohoo

I don't have a garage so its going to be living on my driveway. I have a cover and all that gubins to keep her dry, but obviously want to keep it safe too.

I have a gravel drive and am thinking a ground anchor would be a good option, the kind where you dig a hole and cement it in. Then combine that with a nice heavy duty chain & lock.

Just interested in what you guys & girls use, and any horror stories where you've secured your bike and they've been pinched furious

Kind of an ad-hoc security device review thread if you will.....

Many thanks thumbup

Thanks for the PM. Unfortunately with all the other stuff we need to know, security training is one thing we don't get. TBH i've given out advice in the past and just said anything Thatcham is worth the money, but there's nothing like hands on advice from you old sweat bikers bow lol

Slight hijack

When you stop at services for food/warm up do you put anything on like a disc lock, chain?

I've got my mammoth drive to Yorkshire next week and its going to be cold, hours and hours and lonely and the furthest in 1 day. I'll pack overnight stuff in case I wuss out half way hehe Its only about 420 miles though. rolleyes
Rach, services will be where you're most at risk. If its not nailed down it'll go, bikes, caravans, lorries..... You know who we're talking about here, they dont mess about.

I'd consider chaining it up to a big fk off post. (If i could find one!)
