Anyone topless?
Discussion
Managed around 50 miles on mostly dry Surrey roads this morning in the Chimaera - top down, blue sky and sunglasses.
Absolutely wonderful to drive these cars without the lid - they go so much better and the experience is very rewarding.
Did need to use care where there was deep puddles not because of risk of loosing the back-end but to avoid huge sprays landing in the cabin from other traffic ploughing through!

Did over 300 miles between xmas & new year, all topless. Cant think of a better way to rid the stuffiness and over indulgence of the hols. Tivvys now topless in the garage awaiting the next dry spell.
Happy new year
Rich.
PS only just registered and its good to talk TVR. Maybe see some of you throught the year. Definitely going to Duxford.
Topless in winter is GREAT!!! Picked up my chim the friday before xmas and spent as much time with top off as poss. Did the A1M, M25, A21 run down to mums with top off on xmas eve and then got some VERY funny looks sitting in 4 hour traffic jam on the M25 back from Lingfield on the 27th. The funny looks might have been the top down or perhaps my look of sheer terror wondering if the car was going to overheat!!!

Don't know which I prefer: cold weather with top down, or closing hot/warm weather. Both great in their own ways I guess.
Have you got one of those new-fangled air conditioning thingumies in your Chimaera?

tomorrow to have a nose T350c silly name!!!!!
any suggestions ??
Suggestions? Drop in to Racing Green in Ash Vale, just to the west of Guildford. Have a chat with John Heywood if you're after a TVR - he's very helpful.
Perhaps you meant suggestions for a name for the T350C - I'm a supporter of the suggestion made by another PHer that the car should be branded "Typhon" - see www.pantheon.org/articles/t/typhon.html for relevant background - the name Typhon seems very apt!

Just home from work. Car was frozen solid. Door buttons frozen so had to open the roof to get in.
As the roof was off, I just put it away warmed up the engine for 15 minutes, on with the wooly hat and drove home with the roof down in -5.
Don't know the chill factor, but the grin factor is +10.

Yup, spent all day driving around in a topless Chimaera! Saw a number of other TVR's today, mainly Chimaeras... Green one near Godalming (thanks for the flash), blue one in Haslemere, sort of a light pinky-bronze one with top down parked in Weybridge and one other which Heidi spotted but I missed...
Fantastic day for it!

Had a blast over to Aldershot this morning first thing (it was snowing so lid on!!). Then had a spin down to A Blyth's and then back via Bordon (couldn't resist going past the old barracks) this afternoon with the lid off. Only saw 1 Tuscan at 8:15am who shot past on the A3. Anyone else got sunburn/windburn??!! My face is as hot as hell!!
