Awesome job. Those old shells were ok I see. Even after thrashing the crap out of it trying to beat me they are not bad biggrin

Looks awesome, Definitely giving me some inspiration that i could do mine myself and spend the change from a 10k garage job on extra goodies.
Are you doing this with pure skill and years of acquired knowledge or the help of guides?
will be following along :-)
Common sense
Asking the right people and years of reading posts on here
The asking the right people is the most important one

Got a unf 1” 12 tpi tap to sort the rear adjusters sorted

Ran the chassis threads as they were full of media from the blasting
Then got a corner on
Will have to check I have fitted the correct drive shaft tomorrow as I just grabbed one and whacked it in

2 things for you.
  • The upper outboard bush bolts are in slots to allow adjustment for camber. I see you have used the white plastic washers between the upright and the wishbone but have you also used steel washers? The stainless steel inner sleeve is only marginally larger in diameter than the width of the slots in the wishbone. Without a steel washer the sleeve can get graunched into the slot when you do the final tighten.
  • It is difficult to see from your photo but I think you may have fitted the wrong upright. The brake caliper sits at the back so the 2 tapped holes should be towards the back.
Steve
No washers as they wasn’t any to start with
The white and black plastic thrust washers are what came with the bush kit

Upright you maybe right I need to check tomorrow

You may be right that it did not come with washers but we have seen, and had to repair, wishbones with the bolt slots splayed and chewed up so we always fit steel washers.
To clarify, I'm talking steel washers with a hole size that suits the bolt diameter and still using the white plastic washers (which have a hole size to suit the diameter of the SS sleeve in the bush.

Steve
To give protection to the wishbone slot from the bush centre ripping the slot
