Dave,Gareth and Mike.....

Thanking you for the approval guy'sthumbup

Shame you can't make the NG day Dave, last one I did 2 years ago was the best open day I've been to.... Probably don't want to hear that as you can't make itbiggrin

As for the next meeting : Then when ever it looks like we get a break in the weather then I'm up for it.

In fairness I had already turned down two jobs for that date with the full intention of going, but another one has come up fairly local that was too good to turn down- and it's all extra money into the TVR camshaft change pot- I am trying to hoover up any extra that is going at the moment! hehe

Indeed Mike....

On the radio they are giving weather Warnings for later tonight for the West Midlands, 75mph winds so they say. Although my weather station is saying only 44 mph.

I'm sure we will get a decent spell in October for another meet up as long as it suits everyone. Unless anything goes disastrously wrong with my due date for the new one I'll be at NG's in that,if not I'll be in the Chimaera.

Thanks Alun,

It's got quite a few mods you may approve of,and as you like a few mods he's a little list.

4 ltr Red Rose Powers rebuild upgrade
Sagaris Eprom upgrade
Carbon fibre air box
Quaife 3.73 diff
C/R box
Powers sports exhaust

Still working out what most of it means and what it all does but I've got a feeling it's going to be a little bit lively biggrin
(My test drive was very sedate.)

Hope to see you soon and good luck with fixing the clutch.... Thanks for the Fab comment, not heard that word in ages.thumbup

Thanks again Alun,

It's the reason why it's not been sold as it's just a fantastic car. But I'm going to be realistic that if it ends up in the garage just not being used then I may look at selling.
Just got to see what happens but for now it's not going anywhere, mines a good one and never let me down so just in case I don't gel with the T350 I've still got a well sorted Chim.

You been talking to Porsche owners again Jas? biglaugh

Quote from Sprint: 'and then these two idiots who decided that the best way to turn up to Poole was through a flood, in a traffic jam, whilst on fire' whistle

Well not sure about you Mike but I have been known to be an idiot at times,we did go through a big flood when you looked like a speedboat,we did have huge traffic jams, but what's the "Whilst on Fire" bit??.
Unless they mean with all the smoke in your car coming from the heater/dash? But how would they know that? Have you got that sorted by the way?

As to the "understanding things" just an observation from reading the hundreds of threads about the new Griff. The T350 gets quite a few mentions and their not all positive remarks, can't please everyone of course but I reckon you lot will understand cool

Oh I'm usually an idiot- I have been known on occasion to be slightly sensible biglaugh

Agreed it was spectacular, I can still see the face of the old girl coming the other way umming and ahhing about taking her Vx through the flood when two TVRs emerged with a cloud of steam and a huge grin biggrin

By the point we stopped in Salisbury I think it had become quite a combustible situation, bloody glad we stopped for fuel when we did! All sorted now smile

People can say what they like, I don't think any of us need convincing about how bloody gorgeous T350s are! Jealousy is a terrible affliction Jas!

I think so Dave yes

Mike, it sure will be a memorable drive from the mess up on the meeting point,to me thinking I'd lost my wallet and for a brief moment forgetting I was in a low car for the flood.biggrin

As to the jealousy thing do you realize how many people may be suffering from this when they see a young guy compared to the majority of us driving a TVR ??? I know you're not saying "you are jealous" but just while we are on the subject.

And don't think I didn't notice when we were just outside the quay when the group of girls by the traffic lights Wolf whistled at you wink Not a thing at meconfused Jealous??? It did spring to mindlaugh

they probably had concerns for my level of consciousness after spending 2 hours breathing in burning plastic and petrol fumes! Still jealous? wink

Anyway, I'm jealous of Dave- his missus is TVR-tolerant!

ETA: possibly identified a link between the level of refinement of my car and the OH's passionate disapproval of it.. scratchchin

Dave's a lucky man then... I used to have arguments with my ex wife when I had the V8s before we even left the house when I'd grab the tvr keys. She just didn't get it smile Life is certainly easier these days being single, unless you get one like Dave's who does get it. (Few and far between though)

Edited : Ok ok... I deserve and am entitled to have one of those whoosh parrot thingies sent regarding the "two idiots" quote laugh

My copy just landedbiglaugh

Lucky indeed- I still have to pinch myself to be honest! hehe

Aside from the Chim, she absolutely loves the Sagaris (sadly I can't afford one!), and was also all over the Wedge they had on the TVR display at Goodwood. In fairness the only TVR she's not so keen on is the Cerb. Her thoughts on the new car was 'it's too subtle for a TVR', and doesn't understand why you would buy one when you could get a Sagaris for less money...

Her dream car is a Shelby Cobra continuation, and she's already talking aftermarket exhausts for her straight-6 engined Z4... Oh and she helped me modify our garden to make more room for our cars- she's definitely a keeper! biggrin

Afternoon fellas, is this weather depressing anyone else or is it just me? frown

Just popping in to float the idea of getting together again sometime the weather is better- I don’t have a hole in my roof now so you’re not allowed to laugh at me any more tongue out

I met a Tuscan owner last week called Jay who is a cracking bloke, lives in Chippenham and says he’d love the idea of coming along next time we get a few cars together smile

Jas you’ll have to bring the T350 so he has someone to break down with whistlebiglaugh on a serious note, how is it? Still got the Chim?

Certainly not just you it's depressing!
I've just got back from a week working in Malta where it was 17degrees and sunny - yep, that's their Winter temperature!

Definitely still up for a drive out somewhere once the weather improves!
