You really should get rid of that dead body before you take the car on track again......there are better ways of balancing the car, you know. Corner weighting works just as well, and the car will be 65 kilos lighter.... hehe

If you are going to do the TVR Sprint Challenge thingy that is featured in Sprint Magazine, then there are quite a lot of rules and requirements, enough to put me off from entering.
MSA B Licence
Oil Catch tank/sealed system & Timing Strut
Helmet, race-suit & gloves.
Oh, & some numbers to go on the side of the car.

Paid import tax and collected snazzy looking PTP turbo blanket from Parcelforce; fitted non-return valve in carbon can line, fitted straight-out JE thermostat housing and new stat; started making up charge cooler heat exchanger brackets. Oh, and repaired the cadence sensor on my fixie smile

Did a little work on the 4.6.

Fitted cheapy oil pressure sender, works well.
Aligned the headlights.
Had a general "pre sale" check over the car.

Then wondered as I had robbed the wideband gauge and sender to fit on the 5.5, was the 4.6 running closed loop or not scratchchin

Drove 30 miles to meet up with Shaun, MS2 Tuning to have the man himself have a peek and tweak if necessary.

Car went well apart from occasionally messing about electrical wise, no tacho, rough running etc.

First thoughts, a blown 100 amp fuse.

Anyhoo, it worked fine with Shaun and he did the biz.

Parked outside his mums place where we met, the car died, completely flat battery!

After sourcing a long lead, a charger, a Vectra jack with no handle and an old metal bucket as an axle stand I crawled gingerly underneath and found a cracked fuse that was sometimes making or breaking the circuit.

I bolted the 2 leads together temporarily and had a pleasant drive home.

Moral of the story, it's always the 100 amp fuse, (or the stepper motor laugh ).

On Samy. Fitted a new TP sensor to see if that was effecting the throttle hesitation. Managed to lose the spring retaining clip that pinged off [I think] in to the front of the clam shell. May have to sort an alternative retention system if the plug falls off.

Also removed the driver's mirror ahead of fixing the new mirrors. Need to fill the recess, along with the aerial hole. That's for next weekend.

I then drilled and tapped the trailing arms for an ali bracket to support / connection of the flexi hose for the rear disc conversion.

Finally, cut the hole to fit the TT third brake light. All good just need to clean up the light and bond in the capture nuts. Will fit this week.

Checked the tyre pressures too. All were 18 psi. Oopps.

Then, after all that, did some more work in the tenant's kitchen.

Off to Wokingham today so will give Tamy a run in the sun.

Just finished a chassis/suspension refresh, here are a few pics. Bit of a shame it all gets hidden!
Replaced wishbones and bushes, new Leven drop links, replaced discs, pads and fitted braided hoses.
Pretty hard work doing this on stands and ramps etc, will have to think really hard about investing in a two post lift
Off to get the geo set up done and hopefully the sun will come out for bit of a blast.

Brilliant job Kev, a man after my own heart. Couldn't agree more about the 2 post lift, unfortunately I don't quite have the space, headroom or currently the budget (left over anyway).
