I would say it's flooded pull a few plugs out and warm them on the gas hob. Put them back in and try again
That was just what I was thinking but thought do many people have gas rings now ?....... we have and one of the reasons I aproved of the wife's choice is just in case I need to warm the plugs up, I know nothing of cooking, the toaster is limit of my cooking.? get a proper man in with the knowledge and a tester?

I know Surrey is a big county, but there a number of PHers with tools and know-how whom might come and help drink your coffee and get it going for you, if you make it clear roughly where you live.

The saga continues....
Fitted new Bosch coil and cleaned up plugs again.
Also disconnected ECU night before.
Still will not start.
What gets me is that there is fuel and a spark.
But it wont fire at all. Not even a miss-fire.
Any suggestions?
Regards
Brian

Where in Surrey are you?
As kichsky mentioned earlier how is the state of your battery? It only needs a slight drop in voltage for the car to fail to start, having it on a trickle charger would help but batteries do fail even if you use them,
I had a problem very similar to yours and it was the battery, it would crank over well but the starter was taking all the power and there was none for the ignition circuit.

Might be worth taking of the hose off upstream of the MAF this will eliminate if there is a problem /blockage in the hose air filter, just make sure you have the area clean, it would not help to get something sucked inside the engine.
