That's a 3 yr old thread you're responding to! I wonder if that dash replacement worked though. The dials may not fit flush to it without some extra work.

I just need to Copy a dash if any one got one that I can Draw round just need the outer shape

My old dash is in a cupboard in the garage, It's off a later 1998 car so not sure if the outer will be the right shape or not. I'm happy to trace a template on paper and post it if that's of any use.

My last Chimaera had the basket weave alloy dash. Factory fitted in 2000. I liked it, but my dashtop was black vinyl so it set it off OK.

could some one tell me how is the heater blower knob held in on the dash panel i thought it was a push fit but mine wont come off it is the black vauxhall one thanks in advance

its held in with two studs welded to the back of the dash panel which is not easy to replicate on ally you can just see one of the rusty bolts sticking out above the switch body in the pic below

The newer version just has a bent piece of metal screwed down onto a couple of threaded studs to force it away from the dash. Shouldn't be too tricky to replicate this I wouldn't have imagined.

More to come was thinking of putting in a Volte Gauge and a Air/Fuel Gauge as well?
So that would be Six Small Gauges in all
