Mk3 Headlight conversion - anyone done it themselves?
Discussion
Iphone photos so not the best quality. Mine is Tour de France blue which is similar.
The conversion was not difficult but was time consuming. I had the safety net of a respray however in practice would have been fine without. The cuts you make to the body are governed by the Perspex cover so plenty of trial fitting. I followed one of the excellent guides on here.

Did these myself couple of years back they came from a fellow pher but Fiberon do the kit
Not too bad to do, just have to mark twice and cut once!!! if your careful there will no need for paintwork apart from spraying the inside of the shells and be careful with the Sikaflex!!
I did do a bit of a write up will see if I can dig it out
Unfortunately last year I had a little "excursion" so I am having to do them again!!

If you could pm me the link I'd be much obliged, although it looks daunting, with a bit of research and a sensible approach I think it's something I could do as part of the winter lay up.
I'd probably think about cutting slightly too small and then opening up gradually to get it spot on.
Cheers
Ian
