By rewiring the fans on a Griff you can regain the 11amps lost through the original wiring, and thats on the two relay/ fuse set up! The fans really cool things now.Oh and you can not overcool, we wish, unless its mid winter and driving in Alaska with a knackered water stat.

90-92 while sitting is when the ECU starts to adapt its settings. If the car is overcooled and never reaches them, you run on default settings which may or may not be the best for the car.

Steve, Do you have any hard data regarding the ECU temperature adaptations...does it revert at lower temperatures to different settings? The TVR Centre fit thermostatic switches which operate at a lower temperature, supposedly to cope with London traffic. My original thermo switch packed up on my Griff 500 and I replaced it with a 82/92 degrees switch.

Any comments would be welcome.

Basically having a good thermostat is the most important issue. provided the water temp is above 75 ish the ECU will run normal values, so no worries with fuelling, still 85-90 is probably optimum,

The range seems pretty wide, i assume you mean 92 fans on and 82 fans off? I have my adjustables set at a max of around 86/7. Those few less degrees really make a difference in "town".

I found that a 50' roll of 2" tape was enough to do both manifolds up as far as the 'Y' piece.

Company that did the work was Camcoat in Gt Yarmouth.

Garage said the manifolds, etc were put in a vibrating machine (TVR then!) and all the old crap removed. They were then coated and baked.

Anybody want photos can e-mail them. Can get the number if you are interested. Garage do loads of high performnce stuff (much of it turbocharged) so they seem to do a fair bit of business with them.
Hi Richard

I'd be interested in talking to them could you e-mail their number to me please (you can email me through my profle).

Thanks

John
