Hi John, do you have any more photos of the final location of your catch tank? And have you got a means to drain back to the sump?
I was looking at fitting mine in a similar location infront of the valley and tapping into the dizzy blanking plug to drain back when the engine is not running.
Plumbing in the inlet side of my turbos to create vacuum under load and the standard pcv location in the trumpet base to suck when on idle, using a couple of check valves to stop boost entering the crank case,
Although I'm yet unsure whether I would pull oil in from the drain when under WOT?

The plug lead material plus all the parts came from the green spark plug company and the wiring once freed from the loom is long enough without joining or at least mine was.

theres a fairly decent picture on the previous page but when the brackets come back from powdercoat i will put some more up, i am not putting the drain back to the engine to much condensation tends to collect in the catchment tank so it will just be periodically drained, shouldnt really get to much in there with a rebuilt engine particularly as it will be running 20w60 to stop blowby.

Hi John, regarding the alarm/immobiliser, look at the autowatch 457rli - I fitted one to my chim and one to my bros truck. Easy to install, very well made and works very well. Available from abacus alarms (google them).

This is the one you want... Much smaller and neater than the meta system, and it has a boot release on the fob. This works on a grounding circuit, so to make the boot popper work when the ignition is off you simply use a relay to energise the solenoid side of the dash button on ground. It retains the 3 immobiliser circuits so you can immobilise the car in the same way as the meta, and is cat 1 like the meta. To obtain the certificate, you fit the unit yourself, then take the car to an approved alarm shop and have them check the function and installation. If they're happy then they'll give you a certificate for your insurance company.

Last thing is that the standard unit uses ultrasonic sensors - these aren't suitable for a soft top car, so you can either request a microwave unit from abacus, or wire it up to your existing microwave sensor.

Well with a bit of forward planning and doing the body off yourself quite a bit like I did ! It's the engine, charger, gearbox upgrade, diff upgrade, ecu that costs the real money

I had thought of the leather coating but going to have them powder coated the same orange as the springs etc. to match the body which will contrast the black and light grey interior.
I have done several rebuilds most notably a straight eight daimler drop head that used to belong to the dockers of bsa fame it was sold to sammy davis junior then seveal tr2 and 3s mgbv8 conversion two fordson majors i built a seven lookalike from the ground up wiht a kent engine rover 110 several landrover series including a coil sprung v8 special and a rather rare standard 10 truck that was over forty years ago and probably some i have forgotten. The bikes ranged from bantams to an ex works ajs trials bike,i have made chassis for a dennis lorry of 1928 vintage plus many many parts for folk on various projects.
