Fitted new radiator - and of course, didn't fit like a glove - natch....I reckon I have a dodgy car!

Anyways, after some fettling, rad in, pipes connected and water / anitfreeze in.

BUT the car would not start to aid the bleeding of the cooling system - tried tapping the relay (which got the fuel pump priming the other night - nothing.

Refitted bonnet and after a punishing day at work, I had no more time and energy....

New relays come tomorrow.

Do relays just die like this?

Nosh.

They can do mate. I'm not saying it is the relay but it sounds as if it wasn't 100% from your comment above.

In anticipation of the glorious autumn weather and roof off driving, I've finally got round to fitting 4 Uniroyal Rainsport 3s.

Once you know the specs easy to find Phil and as UKDJ states they are bespoke for the job http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/131561296851?adgrou...
Thanks guys

Simon - the ebay one means I can get 2 for the price of one from racedirect! Good job smile

Cheers
So - installed the relay, which made the weirdest sound.

Noise.....

In fact, both did this when plugged into the black socket.

No noises from the blue socket.

Car still does not start.....

.....out of ideas! frown

You need a proper aluminum burr which is normally courser with less blades, if you don't it will clog up in seconds

I'm not trying to teach you to sucks eggs, but might be helpful if you didn't know

Very true Alex but a squirt of oil ( wd40) stops it
It even un clogs cutters that are full of aluminium

Needed a new relay for the footwell, Anthony - got two - it was the black socket one and not the blue socket one.

Anyway - all good now.

Got to adjust headlights a little lower tomorrow and finish bleeding the cooling system after new rad fitted.

And the weekend looks nice! smile

Absolutely nothing as I was at a TD yesterday, hooray!

Now car needs new tyres all round, new pads and stiffer springs, boo!

The upside is that I enjoy doing it, hooray again!

At Snetterton yesterday the old chim was just about as fast as a new GT3 but was lacking in the bends, much thought now as to how to improve the handling…………...
