Bangers,

Well Done!!!! you should post a new topic saying that you just made a little purchase & watch the congrat's role in....

Good luck & take it easy in the wet/damp conditions I bought mine in jan and had a least one spin within the month...Be warned they do bite back!!!!

Anyway go enjoy and give us all the customery wave/flash or beep when passing another owner...!

Cheers,

Jon

Excellent Bangers.

Private/dealer? Fill us in a bit more when you get the time ... if you ever get out of the car in the next few days.

Sounds more or less just like my one too, great minds and all that

just bought a very nice 93 chimaera 4.3 ,private sale with a full tvrsh and just been serviced by fenhursts,it looked very good when i inspected it and the owner had looked after it really well and its got a new hood . but what i want to know is where is the ECU suposed to sit cos i took the carpets out to find it just sitting on the floor behind the passengers footwell with alot of relays and another shiny box ,are they all like this or is it supposed to look tidy with the ECU bolted to somthing, can i get pictures of what it should look like so i can get it looking shipshape? tyres are a bit of a missmatch as well with s03,s on the front brand new and yokahama a509 on the back nearly new ,looks great though and goes like stink....

I though it was mounted on top of the battery - maybe the owner had a trickle charger fitted - useful if you dont drive it every couple of weeks.

Go to www.tvrbooks.co.uk and look at the Griff/Chimaera book chapter. It is about the battery and has a picture of how the ECU is stowed. It is normally placed on top of the battery with the relays along side the battery. If the car has the battery box mounted on the panel instead of the floor, then the ecu is simply stowed somewhere nice and neat.
