You may! But I dont know . It was advertised in Sprint and I went and bought it with harnesses and seats, but never fitted those. The guy had in his Tamora also before. Was from Swindon way and think his Tamora was silver? Bespoke then fitted it for me. I'll get some better pics or if you need you can come over an measure up?
LOL. I do really like the look of that, I know Andy race used to have a bolt on bar on his 'monster griff' Really good idea as I agree the rollbar is not really high enough but of course you need the roof still to fit. Ideal solution for a road car with occasional trackdays thrown in.Engineer1949 said:

I have always wondered whether a form of semi-side impact bar could be effected by welding/bolting a straight length of tube forwards from the rollbar "upright" diagonally downwards to halfway along the outrigger.
IE. just inside the door, from the "shoulder" of peters seat to the floor somewhere around the leading edge of his seat base.
It looks like the is just enough gap between seat and door, and yes, it would impede entry a little - but would not get in the way of window usage, and would provide body protection in the event of a side impact across the trailing edge of the door...
It would need padding, but they do already...

I fitted a Rollcentre Racing hoop to my car several years ago. It clamps onto the chassis, so can be unbolted for body off restorations. Obviously, not being welded in it is a million miles off FIA approved. It sits high enough to give head protection, squeezing in just under the targa hoop, but is behind the seats, thus avoiding skull on cage collisions.
Hopefully you can see it behind my seats. I was half way through a Tuscan seat install at the time
A very old post but this is exactly what I want installed on my Chimaera 450 SC, I have Tuscan seats also.Hopefully you can see it behind my seats. I was half way through a Tuscan seat install at the time

I bet the windscreen surround would collapse anyway if the trev flipped. No crash testing on these cars. If you want a safety cage you need a support at the a pillar and across the windscreen in conjunction with any rear fitted hoops. That way you know in a roll over crash the drivers space won't be compromised
Yes this was my thoughts exactly! It doesn’t bare thinking about. Your hope would be the top of the engine bares the weight of the front of the car as it smashes into the ground between you and roll hoop whilst upside down giving you a small survival area although I’m sure the windscreen surround will have given way at this point.
Most two seat sportscars would suffer the same fate. Ones with engines in the rear would be very susceptible!

It’s an agonising conundrum is roll hoops.
On the one hand you absolutely want one.
On the other you see as much danger to occupants heads in other more mundane accidents because your not wearing helmets most of the time.
The issue with TVR is the lack of space and how close the hoop has to be to drivers head to offer enough headroom to make it viable.
As I don’t go on race tracks with my Tvr lol I find this constant risk not worth any benifit it actually offers me in a rollover crash.
I’m more inclined to fit one just to add stiffness than any medical benefit
