Dangerous cars?

I have a GV2000 s/t and I feel so safe in it when I "encounter" some of the complete idiots on the road, I can see past their cars which allows me to drive defensivly incase they turn from
*idiot driver* to *complete and utter "I dont" know what to do" driver* as demonstrated a few weeks ago in heavy rain coming back from Bristol when a numptie in a BMW, who was in the middle lane, hit standing water, hit their brakes and turned infront of me.
I would far rather crash in my car to a lot of new cars on the road who just feel so flimsy. If I had a choice of what to have an accident in - it would be a Landcruiser.
I got the power.

Its all about perspective. I selected the Suzuki as it was recently tested by EuroNCAP who rated it the worst of the current crop of 4x4s for safety. However, to put that in perspective - its stil a whole lot better than a car that is 10 years old.... Ok, so of the modern ones it aint brilliant - but its still not crap and is certainly crash worthy in the first place (if not then it wouldnt be for sale in the UK!).
So, not picking on the GV2000 in particular - sorry if it looked like I was! What really worries me is the people that insist on scraping through their MOT with a car that consists of welds rather than body / chassis.... One small prang and they are in real trouble.... thats the scary part.
Cheers,
Paul
