Floppy wing mirror?

My Chimaera's driver side wing mirror has suddenly started drooping, not the glass but the housing itself. Is it possible to tighten it up somehow? If so, any advice on how to remove the door trim, it is a 1998 car. Thanks

I suggest you use the search facility, there are numerous threads on this. Here's a few for starters.

Suffice to say you have to take the whole assembly off the door. It can't be tightened up in situ if the base or grubscrew have come loose. You can get at the wiring for disassembly through the door speaker aperture, you don't need to remove the door trim.
