Never thought it would be soooo complicated.
I've the standard "Personal" wheel and wanted to fit a Momo wooden one that I bought for my S3 (This came off Ebay and has an S3 boss so it should fit ok) The boss won't fit on to the Chim and the wheel won't fit onto the Chim boss.
So, buy an adapter. Bought one, a quick release job that looks great. The Momo fits onto the adapter but the static part doesn't fit the Chim boss.
1. Is there a boss that will fit the steering column and the Momo?
or
2. Is there an adapter that fits the Chim standard boss and allow the Momo to fit?
or
3. Give up.

Not much help but the S3 uses a Ford Sierra steering column, think Chimaera is Vauxhall?


Wood may look nice but I know at least a couple of S owners who found it very slippery when driving with a "little enthusiasm" in hot weather and gone back to leather ( maybe not a problem if you don't intend taking your car abroad)

I have a momo fighter in the Griff, so it is possible to get a boss to connect the Vauxhall column to a Momo steering wheel.
I've got details of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

I know you're a leading light on the "S" forum. Do you have a Chim too / now?

First post has all the details.
second post has pictures of my car with the Fighter wheel fitted.

However, I checked the number I posted and whilst Jack is still there they don't sell the boss any more.
He told me you can get them online direct from Momo and I think you have all the details you need to do that in the threads above.
