Easy the light will not light up on the dashboard

No, most people dont even know their GKN LSD is knackered. However if the crown wheel or pinion is noisy there is a chance it will either let go or seize.

I was always under the impression that the LS part of the diff was integral, if it stopped working the diff would stop working, but as always I am here to learn.
