how much oil

as the title says I want to change the gear box oil and diff oil does anyone no the amount I need for each job please thanks.

Which diff & gearbox ? Then wait for several different answers !!

When its full its full ,just stick some Dexron 111 in the gear box and a decent 75/140 or 80/140 in the diff . You can use the diff oil in both GKN and BTR .

Gearbox (T5) is approx 2.5 - 2.6 litres. Did it last week. Mobil ATF220 from the top of my head.

According to my handbook (page 44), T5 gearbox is 1.4 litres (Mobil ATF220)

All the books say 1.4, they are wrong it is 2.5 litres.

Definitely well over 2 litres - we used just over 2.5 quarts of Royal Purple on my T5 gearbox.

btw get a syringe with some plastic hose for refill. you wont regret

If you have a BTR diff they quote 2lt of oil but I think it's more like 1.8lt.

It`s not like doing an engine oil change ,it just dribbles out the same hole you are putting the oil in ..I don`t understand why you need to exactly know the amount of oil needed .
