This ( http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Uniroyal/Rainspo... ) suggests that only real down side is that they don't last too long. I guess this isn't as much of an issue on a vehicle that doesn't do too many miles anyway.
I have them on my Saab. Many many miles in wet and dry, and they cope with anything, shifting monsoon lakes at speed with no drama. Great dry grip too, due to the soft compound.
My Saab fronts, on a nearly 2 tonne front wheel drive car, lasted 21,000 miles. Rears still had 7mm at that point. So not something that should bother you, or the average TVR driver, overly.

This suggest the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's are much better................. just saying http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goodyear/Eagle-F...
And the 3's are even better

Thing is I'm looking for experiences when fitted to a TVR and not heard much of Good Year having done so. My logic is;
Soft compound
Soft sidewalls
sizes to fit front and rear in profiles I need.
being good in the wet is a bonus as when driving to Italy last year we had two days of heavy rain through France and it wasn't exactly enjoyable and I'm off to France again this year for Lemans classic. High mileage tyres is of no concern, staying on the road is. Most reviews are from daily hacks and heavier cars.
Seems a fair few votes on here for the Uniroyals.
