Just bought an MGC, how do I make it handle?!
Discussion
Hi thanks for all the replies to the thread. Since buying the car have been knee deep in house renovations and only recently started getting the C project moving!
Unfortunately a bit of front end welding necessary before I could start thinking about performance parts but I've taken the engine and box out and decided whilst doing this to fit a lightened flywheel and uprated clutch. Then thinking of uprating the front anti-roll bar and fitting better shocks on the front. All of this stuff seems to be available from moss europe, is there anything wrong with their stuff or are there better parts available?
Thanks

Hello Forum.
Im new here.
I have and MGC and an MGCGT
The MGC I have done a full engine rebuild, ported head, balancing and the lot.
I have fitted 3 webers, so my question to you lovely MGC people out there is:
Can anybody give me their advise on the components in their webers.
Mine is:
Choke: 32
Mainjet 130
Idle Jet 55 F8
Aux vetn 4.5
acc pump 4.5
Needle val 2.00
Emulution F16
air 180
exhause 40
Im having a bit of excess smoke when I give it the pedal, and it is running slightly lean in ideal.
Any feedback would be wonderful, thanks.

Can't comment on the exact requirements for the webers but would suggest taking her to Peter baldwin for a set up. Or like me throw them in the bin and get injection fitted .
I have 4 C's all different none would have webers again. Running lean on the back two is an old problem although I'm sure if I understood webers it may not have been.
go to MG experience.net and join the MGC forum lots of people there.
Enjoy
