we must keep each other updated on progress!
That's a lovely colour you are after there too.
I visited the bodyshop yesterday and they said they could do the Healey Blue which is great as it's far more in keeping with the car. So, that is what it is going to be.
The same as the top colour on this lovely Austin-Healey 3000

Very nice, an excellent choice.
A great idea, out of interest whereabouts in the country are you - username a clue?
I should really start a thread on my efforts, alas I'm doing most of it myself still, coupled with being in the midst of house restoration as well, time to tinker with the MG is always a bit of a luxury let alone writing about it when I get home!

SPT28; sorry for not replying any sooner (I've only just seen your post).
Yes, I'm in Kent
Good idea to start a thread; I'll probably print mine off when the car is finished.
Here are a few more recent photos - it looks worse but it's getting there slowly.
Roof
Another hole!
New panel ordered...
New boot floor needed some tweaks to fit.
Flatting the body and dealing with imperfections.
New rear panel going in.
Gap issues to deal with.
More smoothing.
Engine bay prep.

Looking good, I looked at the first pic of it painted and then had to scroll back up to look at your previous comment regarding painting it blue Looks great in red though and has progressed a lot more than mine of late
Now my welder is fixed however I'm hoping 2016 will see the end of the bodywork... I can dream...

Hi Kentish,
Love the car....couple of quick questions. I have a '74 BGT that I will be starting an interior "refresh" on soon and was wondering if the instrument panel (in front of the gear stick) is something you have made or purchased? I have a couple of extra gauges in mine (voltage and clock) and am looking to do something similar.
Also I noticed that where I have the face vents you have a radio blanking panel - do you miss the cool air / does the cabin get too warm?
Any comments would be very helpful!
