IF anyone is a member of the 260s forum, do you know why it's taken nearly 2 weeks for the moderators to approve my membership? Any help much appreciated!

Thanks Andy!

Cirks - I have indeed seen the light!

As for actually getting a car - there seem to be three distinct types of car on the market.

- Snotters - I'm not interested.
- Decent cars at the right price - selling before I can get a chance to view them.
- Decent cars priced high - not selling and not willing to budge on price.

The £9999 ZT-T on autotrader is a good example of the last type.

I've been looking for a while now, and I'll keep on looking until I get one!

Thanks Andy, I'll send an email.

With regard to the cars for sale at the moment - I think the red one is about £700 over priced but the owner doesn't agree! Clive's car looks like an absolute winner, I suspect though it will be gone before I can view it which has happened to me with three other cars already.

The green estate is way too expensive as it's not an SE, I know the estate is rarer but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't command a £3000 premium over an SE spec saloon - the black ZT-T on ebay with the dodgy provenance just sold for £5300!

There was also a blue ZT-T for sale on PH for a long time which didn't sell even when it dropped to below £7k - the prices are all over the place and it all seems to come down to history.

You might be right Kermit, I had spotted the TV in the dash so I checked the reg number and it's not registered as an SE but it wouldn't be the first one that was registered incorrectly.

When I started looking for one, a green tourer was exactly the car I wanted. Sadly £9999 is a little bit outside my budget in any case - and although I'd prefer a tourer I can't justify that extra cost, so I'm looking at saloons now.

Even if I could get the one on Autotrader for a bit less I'd have to go straight out and upgrade the exhausts which would push the price right back up again!

Suddenly your login name makes a lot of sense!

Have to say your car is a winner. As soon as my Fiesta is sold I'll have a bit more cash available, maybe I can stretch to the tourer on Autotrader if I can haggle the price down a bit...

Dreadnought will want £6k of your hard earned and for that you'll be looking at 400 horses.

Other conversions are available but from what I've seen the dreadnought offering is tried and tested and is the neatest installation.

Well, I finally got one. Paid a bit more than I had originally wanted to but hopefully it will prove to be worth it.
