How 'set in stone' are the regs?
I have a front-engined bike-powered car which would probably be 'amongst it' with the slower Radicals but the regs say mid-engine only. I have a couple of friends with Radicals and we were looking to do some racing together and the choice really comes down to either Bikesports, for which my car is eligible, or ROC. One of my Radical mates is keen to do ROC and I don't care where we race TBH, as long as the racing is clean.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Wayne.I have a front-engined bike-powered car which would probably be 'amongst it' with the slower Radicals but the regs say mid-engine only. Particularly in this inaugural year when we are a race series rather than a championship, BARC are more than willing to cut us some flexibility; it is really down to ROC to decide and make the decision whether the cars are compatible on track in the same race. For example it is clear that quite a few of the cars that race in BARC's 'King Henry's Taverns' Clubmans Championship may well be compatible and they are in effect 'front mid-engined'.
I'm just about to pm you my contact details so we can have a chat and explore this further; pronto bearing in mind that the Dony Round is just under four weeks away now.
