The greatest Jaguar ever built?
Discussion
Well I love XK140s, the DHC best, but I prefer the other two generations.
The X300 is brilliant and the X308 doesn't loose too much with the cheap bumpers :-)
But then there is the XJ13.
But for all time greatness and not just appearance I used to favour

I hope Dinkel won't mind me putting this shot of his that to me epitomises Jaguarness here.
But now I can't decide between the D and the C

Greatest Jaguar ever built? It's pointless trying to compare apples with oranges, bananas etc so logic decrees that it must be the XK 120 as everything else descended/was developed from that model.
Hmmm, going by that logic shouldn't the greatest Jaguar actually be a tiny aluminium sidecar then? ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

Probably the D type which gave us disc brakes and the E type. I hope the greatest Jaguar is yet to come, and I have a feeling the next XJ could be it.
The disc brakes were first used on the C-Types. Mostly famously winning the 53 Le Mans, but they had been tested in other races before then.Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
