I think it is a lovely looking car. They're graceful things. It looks to be in superb condition.
Nice of you to say so. I think its had a gentle life so far, only 50k on the clock but not many toys, no cruise, memory seats, nav. Less to worry about though so fine by me. It was very much a rushed purchase but I think I got lucky.fausTVR said:
Almost ashamed to put my cooking XK8 on here after seeing your lovely machines. The Jag's not getting much exercise now I walk to work. But that makes it all the nicer to climb into and waft along.
There is no such thing as a 'cooking' Jaguar from those days (X and S Types excepted). Even with 'just' an XK8, you're getting a wonderful V8, bag loads of performance and absolutely stunning looks. What's not to like! I love it! Have you got any shots of the interior?Baryonyx said:

Have you got any shots of the interior? It was a moment of "car-porn" - i.e. browsing websites while working on a research vessel - and for not a lot, there is now the Daimler Super V8 shown below, submitting its drink bills to Stark Towers' accountants...
... and can it ?!
It was originally the chairman of British Airways' (Lord Marshall of Knightsbridge?) company hack (with chauffeur, naturally). Somewhat chuffed to have got the original Motorola 2700 International car-phones working - one in the front and one in the rear armrest...
The V8 XJRs are fun, but that level of performance in a Daimler seems just that much more unexpected/surprising/hilarious [delete as applicable]. I used to own (many years ago) a Daimler Majestic Major (the 4.5 V8 engined monster) which was nowhere near as fast, but was still pretty quick for 2.2 tons - 0-60 in 9.7 and 0-100 in 29.7. The Super V8 though is an unhinged lunatic in comparison... I love it!
