I like the simplicity of an early XJS (e.g. no chrome), but the bumper extensions are horrendous, particularly on the rear. The HE thankfully fixed those monstrosities.https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1616441

Whilst it does look exceptionally well maintained, it does nothing for me I'm afraid. Those black bumpers make it look like a base spec for some reason, I do think I prefer them with a bit of bling. Just suits the character of the car. https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1616441

I had an early XJ-S for a while. It was a 78 so it had the TH400 transmission, and the pre HE engine. They're supposed to be the quickest of all XJS models, including the 6L cars.https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1616441
