Right, I see what you mean now. I think...Don't see the issue with using the main caliper for the parking brake personally but that's maybe because mine has never gone wrong. Plenty of other manufacturers do it this way, too.

Fair point, but a separate caliper for the handbrake or a drum-in-disc setup will presumably heat up too? Also, an XKR goes berserk at you if you dare attempt to shut the engine down without first engaging Park so you'd be unlikely to have such a disaster in one of these.Ask my daughter, she'll tell you...
