Got invited to the Manchester unveiling of 2 Project 7s on Sunday. Also had a development car on site. The two customer cars were a static display behind ropes to keep the great unwashed away, despite being personally invited....did they expect us to key it?
The development car sounded very nice. However, £135k is a joke for such a car compared with the SVR or a 911.
Weight and downforce are also underwhelming compared with the competition, I thought a Jaguar was lithe and responsive...
Probably didn't help that the dealership had no electricity, the salespeople didn't mingle and the whole thing just felt low rent compared with similar events at other high end dealers. Although having been invited and received an Email from the dealer principle we weren't on the list of prospective attendees. Overall an underwhelming experience...
Not sure £135k is a joke if they are trading at £180k now.The development car sounded very nice. However, £135k is a joke for such a car compared with the SVR or a 911.
