Look at it a different way, your car has lasted over 40 years without any kind of cavity protection. Also those lister fibre glass mouldings did well hiding all those rusty horrors lol. Not sure I would want those re-fitted. Keep the lister mechanical upgrades but ditch the fibre glass add ons. Personally I think the coupe body, sitting a tad lower with a nice set of wheels is all the body mods that shape needs. Yes I am in one hundred percent agreement with you on this and have considered standard bumpers already as a plan B. I know the fibreglass body kit is not to everyone’s taste and I could live without the body kit myself, but I do want to keep the car looking as it was as reg NPH 913P. I have recently obtained a new set of four Lister wheel centers which I am delighted to have obtained. The body is progressing well and I shall post a current image of progress next week.

To be honest I am not sure what modification is required to change to the XJS seats, but I’m sure it’s not hard to exchange them? However as I am a massive fan of the XJC, I would suggest staying with original specification where possible to maximise value?
Someone already installed s3 frames in mine. Looks ridiculousXJS seats should bolt straight in. As to the height difference that’s a different matter. If you want originality, use a pair of pre facelift xjs seat frames with series 2 or 3 xj seat cushions. The latch to allow rear passenger access will be in a slightly different position but will be close to original xjc folding front seats if you can’t find originals
