The convertible starts at £65k I think. If your car is worth £49k after 6 months and you paid £49k for it then you have class leading depreciation. I expect the new XK to perform better than the 645Ci with regard to depreciation but thats not saying much! I have ordered a new XK because I think its going to be a great car - time will tell!

Any car is only worth 50% of its listed price after 3 years. Trouble is if you start with a £70k car, you WILL lose £35k. If you start with a £15k car you will lose £7.5k. Just bigger numbers with expensive cars. I hope with my new car that it will now just lose about £300/month for the next couple of years as I didn't have to take the big hit with paying RRP. The new Jag won't lose a lot of cash while numbers are low, but seeing as Jag will flood the market with them they will still lose 50% after 3yrs! If you are paying full wack of £65k for your new XK, in 3 yrs time come back to me and I'll bet it will only be worth £30k.

PS Congrats on your new purchase, bet you can't wait. I'm gonna hang for the XKR.

I saw the new XK on the road on Sat. Looked really good, better than in the pictures. It was a sort of mid Blue, and had just come off the M1 at J23 turing onto the A512 going into Loughborough.

Cheers,

Paul.
