Me, I always insist on a 1:18 scale model to go with it.

Great, so that means you are getting the car 'you' want, not a pre-speeced one?

What colour you going for etc.?

Incidently I don't know if you like the plastic grilles on the XK or not, but I was at my Jag dealer last week and they had an XK personalisation brochure and offered some proper metal race mesh grilles to replace the standard ones. You could get them black or metal finish. The pics in the booklet with metal grilles made the car look how it should. Of course they'll probably be a couple hundred quid each.

No, unfortunately I decided to take the compulsory options in return for getting my car before xmas. But i'm growing used to the idea now.

I did receive one of those 'personalising' brochures, and saw the grilles. I havent seen the XKR in the flesh, neither have i seen the optional extra grilles so cant comment on which i'd prefer. Hence i havent bought them. I imagin that they will be easily aftermarketable.

Edited to add that I thought that those grilles were to enable the XK owners to have the XKR style nose?

Sorry, the spec is as follows:

XKR Coupe
Midnight Black
Ivory Interior
Warm Charcoal Dash
Aluminium (knurled, not weaved) Trim
20" Cremona Alloys
Luxury Leather upgrade
Premium sound upgrade
Parking sensors (if not standard)
Active headlight thingy

Think thats it.

silverspeed whats your spec? Is it still scheduled for 23Nov?

My spec is:-

Indigo Blue
Ivory
Luxury Leather
Premium Sound
Ali Weave
TPM
Park Assist
Cremona Wheels
SS Pedal Set
Brushed Ali Mirrors
Adaptive Lights
Heated Front Screen

Think thats about the lot. Factory complete date is 24th November but my dealer is working on that ( are you reading this Nichola? ).

Your spec sounds great - think the R will look better in darker colours.

Cant wait.

Kryten think you will be happy - just heard that the must have wheel option ( Cremonas) will not be available due to a technical issue . Bit late in the day !!

Anyone got a delivery date yet?

Cool. I still want Carelia's but the Senta's are growing on me. I havent got a date yet, but I cant understand why they said 22Dec, when I'm first in the queue and others seem to have their cars ready for 23Nov. Hopefully the Cremona's will still be in supply problems late in December! I might have to go and let the tyres down on some delivery trucks!

You got it yet then? Did Jag live up to the official(?) 23Nov promise?

Due date is now 4th/5th December. Understand my dealer has received one customer car so far - a convertible though. was really looking forward to having it for this weekend as I am going to the East Coast and would be able to give it a good run. Will let you know when the beast has arrived.
