Can anyone tell me the correct name of the metal used to fit the rubber door seals to.
It’s about 12mm wide c section and it’s spot welded around the door apertures. Apparently it’s the same section that’s used for the same purpose on an e-type.
I need a length of it to replace the rusty original corroded item currently on my car.
Just don’t know where to look for it?
Thanks in advance for any help![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Ok, didn’t think about removing good channel from a breakers car.
That’s an idea I can do![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I think a nice carbide drill bit will remove the spot welds. Then repair the holes in the body, then a neat tig puddle weld to attach the good channel via the drilled out spot welds back to the body.
I’ll hang fire for a little while in case I do get someone that’s knows where I can possibly new channel from.
My fingers are crossed![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
