Stone chip misery

As I posted a couple of months ago I bought an XK in Emerald Fire livery and she is gorgeous. I do however do a lot of motorway driving and I am collecting stone chips for England. Does anyone have experience of a touch up stick? Is it worth it? Or should I maybe wait for a year and perhaps have a front end respray.
I know its sad but I like my cars to look good and this paint seems so thin.

Any ideas??
